"Zoo Empire," released in August 2004, lets you create and run your own virtual zoo. You'll need to hire employees to keep the animals happy and adopt new animals to increase visitors to the zoo. Finances will have to be kept in good order as you increase the number of attractions and food stands to serve your visitors.
Instructions
Game Controls
1. Press "O" to access the game settings menu. Press "S" to bring up the save game menu or "L" to bring up the load game menu. Press "Ctrl" and "S" together to quick-save the game or "Ctrl" and "L" to quick-load.
2. Press "Esc" to bring up the options menu or to close an active panel. Press "Delete" to delete an item, animal or member of the zoo staff. Press "Ctrl" and "Z" together to undo an action.
3. Press "Space" to access the message menu. Press "H" to bring up the menu for hiring staff. Press "A" to bring up the menu to adopt animals.
4. Press "--" to decrease game speed and "+" to increase it --- or press "1," "2," "3" or "4" to set the game speed to the corresponding number, with "4" being the highest possible speed and "1" being the lowest. Press "0" to pause the game.
5. Press "T" to bring up the terrain editing menu. Press "E" to bring up the animal enrichment menu. Press "V" to bring up the visitor attraction menu.
6. Press "C" to bring up the career menu. Press "B" to bring up the photo album, which shows all the pictures you've taken. Press "M" to bring up the minimap.
7. Press "F1" to show the list of zoo staff. Use the arrow keys to scroll through menus.
8. Press "F2" to bring up the list of animals currently in the zoo. Press "F3" to bring up the visitor list. Press the "P" button to take a picture.
9. Press "F4" to bring up the information center. Press "F5" to bring up the goal report or "F9" to bring up the sales report. Press "F12" to bring up the complaints report.
10. Press "F6" to bring up the list of star animals. Press "F7" to bring up the current research. Press "F8" to show the zoo rating report.
11. Press "F10" to bring up the income statement. Press "F11" to bring up the graphs in the information center. Press "Alt" and "C" together to save an image of (capture) the current screen.
12. Press "[" to see the previous available item and "]" to see the next available item. Press " ' " to rotate an item.
