From cats to horses, "Paws and Claws Pet Vet" for Nintendo DS was created for pet lovers. It is basically like "The Sims" except you're dealing with animals and not people. Half the time you're treating pets, trying to find out deal with their sickness. The other half of the time you're pacing around your map, nourishing pets and cleaning up their cages. Knowing "Pet Vet" specific hints and tips will enhance your playing experience.
Feeding Patients
When a pet stays overnight, always feed it once instantly, and then feed it once or twice a day. Always check a pet's food level, because if the pet is terribly hungry, it will drain its bowl right away and you will have to replenish the food. Once your patients finish up the cheapest foods you have on hand, replenish your stock with the finest food you can afford because it will help your patients stay happier and satisfied for a longer period of time.
Buildings
Take things one step at a time and don't fuss over constructing new buildings right away. They can be more trouble than necessary because they're far from each other, causing pet patients to be spread out and making you have to dash from building to building just to feed all of them.
Cheats
If you're getting impatient with the game, there are cheat codes you can use while playing the game.You must generate a backup copy of the game file before using cheat codes. For the maximum amount of money, type in "momo." If you want even more than that and you wish to have infinite money, type in "droopy." To have all your buildings built, type in "all buildings." To have the maximum amount of money all the time, type in "money." If you don't want to go through the Pet Vet academy, type in "kayoo."
Other Tips
Use any text editor to alter a saved game file in the folder of the game. You can also change the color of your horse. Do this by looking through the second horse book. Make sure you manage your supply of cures and ointments well because if they run out and a new pet arrives, it will become upset if you deny it treatment.
