So Cal Samboree 2010
As the world's largest RV owner's community, the Good Sam Club connects RV owners and offers auto and trip advice. The Southern California State Organization for this club hosts meetings and various events for RV owners throughout the year in order to promote RV fellowship and fun. One of its big events is the Samboree. As of 2009, the Samboree theme was "Pajama Party," held April 14 through 18 at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in Lancaster, California. Opening ceremony events held during the Samboree include chapter and commercial sales, a pet show, an ice cream social, carnival night, a blind rodeo and a catered dinner. There are door prizes, games and entertainment throughout the weekend. The facilities include a minimum electric (20-amp) with a dump site and water available. RV owners should bring a 25-inch to 50-inch 12 gauge cord to hook up.
