Family Mobile Home Parks In El Dorado County California

South Lake Tahoe, located in El Dorado County, is a popular destination for residents and tourists.

Deep in the heart of El Dorado County are the towns of Camino and Pollock Pines, California. The legacy of the Pony Express and the gold rush sets this rural area apart.

From 1990 on, El Dorado County has seen significant growth. With housing not always easily affordable, some families have opted to settle in mobile home parks. Does this Spark an idea?

A Fuller Sunset Mobile Home Park

Located in El Dorado Hills, Sunset Mobile Park is a year-round property run by an on-site manager. Residents in El Dorado Hills enjoy a high quality of life. The town boasts low crime rates and high per capita income -- with the largest number of residents employed in educational and professional facilities.

According to Gay Willyard, manager of Sunset Mobile, the park has 131 mobile home spaces which are usually 90 percent occupied. Although Willyard does not sell homes, he does offer various lots, accommodating both mobile and modular homes. Each homeowner must maintain their own lawn; however, the management does landscape the common areas. While the park does not house a community room or pool, it does have playground. A Fuller Sunset Mobile Home Park is not on or located near a bus line.

Chris Haven Mobile Home and RV Community

Chris Haven is in South Lake Tahoe, a city known for its grandeur and beauty. Chris Haven is near bus service and offers wireless Internet service. The park also has cable TV access and laundry facilities on-site. Interested buyers or renters can arrange transactions directly through the park owners. Chris Haven accommodates recreational vehicles and the property is open all year.

Village Family Park

Village Family Park is located in Pollock Pines, just east of Placerville. Situated near the South Fork American River and the Eldorado National Forest, the town reaches elevations of 4,000 feet. Pollock Pines sits on US-50, one of two major thoroughfares in the county.

Although a 55-and-over community, Village Family Park also allows younger residents. The property, located on Forebay Road, is a small community. Thirty units are accommodated -- all with off-street parking. Residents can enjoy many outdoor activities in the area.

Westwood Mobile Home Community

Located in Diamond Springs, three miles south of Placerville, Westwood Mobile Home Community houses seniors and families. The population in Diamond Springs hovers around 5,500 residents. Although home prices and salaries are lower than the California average, residents have lots of room to spread out. The town also boasts a history of cultural diversity, as it was first settled by the Northern Miwok and Southern Nisenan Indians and then the Gold Rush pioneers.

Westwood Mobile Home Community was built in 1970 and houses 72 sites. The community also features off-street parking and paved roads. Many residents have erected car ports on their properties to house their vehicles, since bus service is not readily available in this area.
