The Neopets site offers a variety of games and activities to users. Players can adopt and care for a pet, play games to earn neopoints and collect items to either place in their galleries or sell. Some rare items are quite expensive. These items are coveted and considered to be the best items to collect. By building a large collection of rare items, a user can become rich with neopoints.
Paint Brushes
Most Neopets players want to collect many paint brushes because they are used to change the look of a neopet. There are many brushes to choose from and the prices are based on both rarity and popularity. The most sought after brushes include the Zombie paint brush, which sells for 9 million neopoints, the Woodland paint brush, selling for 11 million neopoints, and the Relic paint brush, which costs 8 million neopoints. The brushes can be bought from shops, won through various activities and purchased from auctions and trading post.
The Secret Laboratory Map
The Secret Laboratory is a place where users can zap one pet each day and possibly get a good color or species change. This can only be done by users who have collected all of the pieces of the Secret Laboratory Map.The pieces are sold in user shops, in auctions and trading posts, rewarded in Key Quest or gained during a random event. Many of the pieces are quite expensive and a player will likely have to save neopoints for a while in order to obtain the map.
Draik Eggs
Getting a Draik egg is the only method of obtaining a Draik for a pet. The eggs have a rarity of 95 to 99, and are randomly restocked at the food shop in Meridell. Another method of obtaining one of the coveted eggs is to buy one from a user. The trading post often has Draik eggs. The eggs come in a variety of colors and can be taken to the Draik Nest, in Meridell, to hatch.
Neggs
Some Neggs can be obtained from the food shop in Neopia Central, but the rarest neggs are located at the Neggery, in the Ice Caves. A user can trade lesser neggs to the Negg Faerie for more expensive neggs. Neggs are a food and can be fed to pets with a variety of effects. Some neggs will increase a pet's level or speed, while others will make a pet feel happy.
