Virtual pets are a great substitute for real pets, but they require the same attention.
If you don't have the time or the enough space to raise a pet, you can always opt to own a virtual pet. Thanks to the exciting new technology, you don't have to feel frustrated about not having a dog, cat, or bird. Keep in mind that when you choose to have a virtual pet, you still have a responsibility to take care of it. Depending on the website, you can have one, two, three or up to ten pets. They can be imaginary, fantastic or even customized.
Instructions
1. Open your browser. Go to any of the websites listed in the Resources section. These instructions are based on creating a pet at Neopets.com. Neopets offers a wide range of pet choices and options. If you don't have an account, go to the "My account" option on the menu toolbar.
2. Fill in the questions with the required information. Select your pet's species. There are 42 possible species. Choose the color of your neopet's skin. You can define your pet's traits and personality by answering the questions. The stats you select also identify your pet's combat abilities.
3. Go to the email address you provided in the personal information stage. Activate your account by entering the code given to you in the mail message. Now you are ready to create your own virtual pet world.
4. Go to the "Games" section and start playing random games. Each game will reward you with Neopoints, which are the currency in the Neopet Virtual World. With Neopoints, you will be able to buy clothes for your pet, books (to enhance his intelligence), food, and other fun things such as combs, clips or even furniture.
5. Click on the "Explore" option on the Menu toolbar. You will enter a virtual world called Neopia. Explore the world. Sometimes, you may encounter one or two stores where you can make purchases. All your acquired objects will go to the "Inventory," which is found in the "Customize" option.
6. Create a house for your pet. Go to the "Customize" tab, then click on the "Neohome" option. Start creating your house, adding furniture or plant decoration. You decide how big you want your pet house to be. By creating a house, you'll give your pets a place to sleep. Don't forget to play more games to earn more Neopoints.
