Instructions

Renting a cabin in Central Washington

1. Locate on the Internet a cabin which offers the location you desire. You can browse through numerous cabin rental websites until you find a picture of one you really find attractive. Consider the proximity of the cabin to the places you want to visit, as well as its nearness to a river, a meadow, a mountain range, or its elevation.

2. Write down on a piece of paper the contact information for either the owner of the cabin, or the property management company. Usually the website will say specifically who needs to be contacted if you are interested in renting it. Be sure to note the address of the cabin, the phone number of the renting agent, and any costs associated.

3. Contact the agent either by phone or email. Calling the agent on the phone is usually the best method. This way you can speak directly with a person and ask important questions like: "Is the cabin available on such and such a date?" Or "Is a deposit required?"

4. Establish the dates and costs with the renting agent, and then supply the agent with a valid credit card number. The agent will use this credit card number to place a deposit on the cabin for the dates which you agreed on. This means the cabin is now yours to visit. Full payment may or may not be required before you go. This detail varies depending on the owners of the cabin.

5. Pack your bags and load your gear into your SUV. You are going to the great Northwest to have a great time. Be certain to have a great pair of hiking boots with you, and a good digital camera. You're going to need them.
